Berlatar belakang pada zaman kekuasaan Showa di Jepang, film ini mengisahkan perjalanan 3 pria yang bercita-cita untuk mendapatkan sabuk hitam tertinggi dari sang maha guru sebagai penerus Perguruan karate berikutnya.

Tahun 1932. 3 pria yang sama-sama bersaing dalam latihan karate di dojo Eiken Shibahara "sang Guru". Mereka adalah Taikan, Choei, dan Giryu. Ketiga murid Eiken tersebut memiliki karakter yang berbeda-beda, Taikan berkarakter ambisius dan keras, sementara Giryu yang lebih banyak penurut dan selalu berpegang teguh pada ajaran gurunya. Suatu ketika sang guru wafat sementara diantara mereka belum ada yang ditunjuk oleh sang Guru untuk menerima sabuk hitam (kuro-obi) yang menjadi simbol penerus perguruan karate tersebut.

Perjalanan ketiganya mulai mendapat tantangan, dimana ketika pihak militer kerajaan meminta mereka untuk menjadi pelatih Karate di kamp kemiliteran. Namun sayang, Giryu yang penurut dan lemah lembut mendapatkan nasib yang lebih berat karena harus terbuang dan dituduh melakukan penculikan para gadis yang akan dijual oleh pihak militer yang korup.

Sementara dilain pihak, Taikan yang ambisius ditemani oleh choei yang mendapatkan amanah untuk menjaga kuro obi terus mempertahankan supremasinya dengan menantang satu persatu perguruan karate yang ada di manchukuo sementara pihak militer menyita sekolah karate tersebut untuk kepentingan yang lain.

Taikan semakin ambisius hingga harus membunuh lawan-lawannya yang dirasa tangguh terlebih, ia membunuh guru dari aliran yang sama dengan gurunya Taikan, Eiken.

Giryu yang berusaha tetap berada pada jalan yang lurus selalu mendapat tekanan, hingga suatu hari ia dipertemukan dengan Taikan dalam sebuah duel maut yang akhirnya harus mengakhiri hidup salah satu dari mereka. Sinopsis :
Ake (Mario Muarer) adalah pemuda dewasa tetapi masih bersifat kekanak-kanakan, menurut ayahnya (Santisuk Promsiri). Untuk menjadi orang dewasa, dia harus bertemu Paman Che (Nakorn Silachai) selama liburan sekolah yang akan mengajari segala hal.

Synopsis :
On September 9th, the day of the Katakai Fireworks Festival, high school student Hana (Mitsuki Tanimura) comes home from the hospital after six months of treatment for leukemia. Taro comes to the hospital everyday to visit Hana and soon learns that the Katakai Fireworks Festival is a symbol of happiness for Hana.
